SQL Database Developer, VP Job Summary This Senior Level Database Developer would be responsible for end to end database design, development, testing, review, and implementation of code into the existing data warehouse for all levels of the SDLC - Software Development Lifecycle. Additional responsibilities would include troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization and enhancement of existing processes. This employee would also be expected to understand and communicate complex processes effectively with team members and internal customers. Responsibilities * Database & ETL development and support for multiple lines of business within the Regional Bank * Optimally design and develop databases, tables, views, stored procedures, user defined functions, SSIS packages and other database objects using SQL Server 2012 or 2016 * Work independently following all standards and patterns in place to complete work assignments * Act as a subject matter expert and provide support in all areas of expertise * Utilize TFS (Team Foundation Services) for code management and work assignments using Agile Methodologies * Understand, monitor, and create complex job scheduling utilizing third party software * Perform testing and issue resolution supporting all levels from development to production. * Possesses a high level of analytical skills as recognized by industry standards, as well as extensive bank operations knowledge. * Coordinate work being performed by various system and user areas to ensure that project plans and functional requirements are met * Perform initial research for projects requests, or questions from internal customers * Exhibit expert knowledge in the area of problem solving, resolving conflicting priorities, and reporting issues requiring resolution to management. Qualifications: * SQL Server 2012 / SQL Server 2016 * SSMS - SQL Server Management Studio * SSIS - SQL Server Integration Services * Visual Studio 2012/ Visual Studio 2015 * TFS - Team Foundation Services * JAMs * Data Modeling and Design * Database Support * Performance Optimization / Performance Tuning * Indexes / Keys / Foreign Keys / Unique Keys / Clustered Keys * Relational Database * Data Warehousing / Date Warehouse Design * 3rd Normal Form / Third Normal Form / 3NF * Star Schema / Snowflake Schema * Type II Dimension / Type 2 Dimension / SCD / Slowly Changing Dimensions * OLTP / OLAP / Cubes TESTING * Prepares test plans, documents test cases, reviews results of tests, and identifies further testing required. * Exhibits an expert knowledge of testing techniques and the scope needed in a test plan. IMPLEMENTATION * Assists in technical implementation.
