JOB SUMMARY The Vice President of Athleta Online is a role that perfectly straddles the art and science of ecommerce, so we're looking for an inspirational, high-energy visionary who will advocate and push our online experience to the next level and unlock breakthrough financial results. This is a uniquely exciting moment to join the team. Not only will you help lead our ecommerce business through a period of unparalleled growth, but you'll have the ability to influence and optimize all aspects of our ecommerce platform, end to end. That includes ensuring we're building a world-class and forward-leaning user experience, thoughtfully integrating emotional and captivating stories, supporting the evaluation and integration of the most important and exciting new technical features to increase conversion, and otherwise ensuring our customer has the most supportive, frictionless, and delightful online brand experience possible. You will contribute meaningfully to the overall strategic vision for how this critical channel is going to help us achieve some ambitious business and brand goals over the year and you'll also oversee a team of designers, producers, strategists, digital merchants, and performance analysts to ensure we're hitting our day-to-day goals- and anticipating and reacting when we may be at risk of falling short. You'll also know how to galvanize a highly talented team and support them through the inevitable highs and lows of a very dynamic business. COMPETENCIES Strategic Orientation Collaboration & Influencing Customer Impact Business Accountability KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Accountable for delivering annual sales and profit targets for a large proportion of the total brand's business. 2. Participates in key decisions as both a member of the executive leadership team and the Gap Inc. central digital team to ensure online/digital best practices are in place. 3. Ensures our online experience is constantly evolving to meet our customer's needs and biggest business opportunities. 4. Collaborates with enterprise digital team to develop key digital experiences and potential UX tests for consideration and prioritization. 5. Ensure product news and big ideas are translated into an exciting customer site experience with a focus on storytelling through our digital capabilities. 6. Provide clear direction for seasonal product investments to ensure that smart risks are being taken and that financial targets are met. 7. Predict and capitalize on business opportunities and risks in-season through utilizing sales performance and marketplace information. 8. Leads, directs, and develops the ecommerce team composed of multiple functions.
