Job Description Collaborating with the VP, Director of Human Experience Strategy, the Associate Director will lead brand marketing initiatives for a classing financial industry client. Including but not limited to: qualitative research, consumer insights, and translating data into exceptional storytelling across a multitude of media channels (digital, mobile, social). The ideal candidate is obsessed with learning, is naturally curious, and culturally savvy. The main focus of this role is to uncover insights into cultural trends and human behavior that clients cannot find on their own. As the Associate Director of Human Experience Strategy, you will go beyond identifying insight to inspire communications planning across several teams. Therefore, the ability to communicate complex ideas both written and verbally to clients, internal partners, and venders across a multitude of agency disciplines is a must. This is a senior level role requiring at least five years of directly related experience. This is an energetic, supportive and collaborative team that greatly values creative and innovative thinking, career growth, and respect for diverse perspectives. RESPONSIBILITIES: PART STRATEGIC LEADER * Have a strong point of view on brands, consumer and category - with a constant pulse on what is current * Feel comfortable asking the right questions and making the complex simple to deliver clarity for clients and internal team * Identify brand challenges before they happen and have a sense on how to approach them * Experience in audience-centric communications planning is preferred but not a requirement, but we would like you to have influenced strategic work in non-traditional environments (digital, mobile, social) PART DATA TRANSLATOR * Champion use of data-driven insights and educate internal team on rigor in developing such work * Proven track record of triangulating insight beyond fact/observation * Familiarity with the design, application, and analysis of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research techniques * Can navigate syndicated and first party data with ease - collaborating with research, analytics and client teams to ensure that at the core of every plan, there's human insight guiding our actions * Experience with or an understanding of the majority of the following tools and sources or similar: Gfk MRI, Comscore, Resonate, GWI, Mintel, Forrester, Contagious, eMarketer, Crimson Hexagon, YouGov, WARC, and Google Analytics * Familiarity with deriving insight from a DMP PART CATALYST & INSPIRATION * Be prepared and willing to navigate uncharted waters * Using creative problem solving and human-centered thinking, proactively push client and partner agencies to innovate and think beyond what's been done * Possess the ability to look at the same information as everyone else and see something different * A track record of experience in idea generation and refinement. * Be able to work collaboratively and speak the language of any partner agency or internal team Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree; degree or concentration in Advertising, Marketing, Social Sciences (Anthropology/Sociology/Psychology) preferred; Graduate Study/degree a plus * 5+ years of related work experience.
