Director, Human Resources Business Partner (Enterprise and Services Functions) Job Description The Director, HR Business Partner, reports to the Sr. Director, HRBP in Greensboro, NC. The primary responsibility of this role is to act as the point of contact and partner for a group of associates for HR-related needs. Through this relationship, the HR Partner, is responsible for determining approaches and strategies that are focused on identifying and developing critical capabilities, skills, and platforms to enable associates career growth and effectiveness, while aligning to the global talent strategy. Key responsibilities include: * Builds trust and partnerships with business leaders, HR COE's, HRBPs, People Services and other HRP's in the brands/regions. * Work with Business Leaders to develop high potential employees to secure a pipeline for succession to senior roles. * Provides consultation and coaching to managers as needed to ensure timely completion of Performance Plans; this would include helping managers establish measurable goals and create meaningful development plans for their reports; also includes leading cross-calibration sessions and year-end performance management support. * Facilitate and organize talent reviews/succession planning/mentoring & coaching plans. * Actively engages in the recruitment process to help identify top talent and assist in filling gaps in competencies that are needed to better fulfill role responsibilities. * Understand business needs and issues involving people and processes/resolve issues and assist managers in putting together action and development plans * Actively supports the open-door policy to foster an environment of high morale and strong associate engagement; develops and implement action plans to address issues and concerns surfaced by associates during meetings and/or surveys. * Coaches managers and employees with respect to HR policies to ensure compliance; recommends policy changes as needed based on competitive data and/or change in industry best practices. * Assist in workforce strategies including org design, job descriptions and compensation planning, including support for advanced compensation * Support the Engagement Survey process, roll out, and action planning * Leverage and translate HR analytics identifying trends, issues and opportunities * Support and manage the execution of Inclusion & Diversity priorities * Work in partnership with other HR partners to streamline processes and procedures to improve the workforce experience * Collaborates effectively with Organizational Effectiveness and Performance organization to address development needs, serving in various capacities (e.g., consultant, trainer, design resource, etc) as necessary. * Partners with HRBP's in the other regions to share and align on global talent within the function. * Works with other HR staff to plan and develop events to promote philanthropic opportunities for VF Associates (VF Day, United Way, Denim Day, etc.). * Hire, coach and develop team with positive approach to leadership * Engages with HR staff as needed to ensure daily generalist functions are fulfilled on a timely basis; performs other projects as assigned.
