The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key contributor on the senior executive team (the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Lending Officer, Chief Experience Officer, and the Chief Executive Officer) who serves to establish the strategic direction for the planning and execution of finance, accounting, risk management, human resources, employee development, technology (applications, infrastructure, data, security), project management, and forecasting activities at the credit union. Additionally, this position serves as a key player in developing the overall strategic direction of the Credit Union. This position advises and reports directly to the President/CEO., 1. Functions as a key member of the Executive Team and assists in the development and promotion of the strategic direction of the credit union. Works closely with all leadership of the credit union, as well as the Board of Directors. Identifies the C-suite as their primary team, building a strong level of team health while focusing on overall organizational results. 2. Provides expertise and guidance regarding the financial position of the credit union. Analyzes trends, makes recommendations and provides reports to assist the Board of Directors in their responsibilities. 3. Develops and executes strategic business plans for credit union relating to all technology (applications and infrastructure). 4. Provides mentoring, coaching, and training to support and develop managers and staff. 5. Responsible for organizational leadership on technology issues, the successful delivery of services to members via digital channels, management of the technology research and review function, and the successful implementation and ongoing performance of all technology applications for the Credit Union. 6. Develops strategies to grow revenue, increase profitability, grow assets and manage all aspects of balance sheet performance. 7. Functions as a key member of the executive team and is an active participant in the development, execution and promotion of the strategic direction of the Credit Union. 8. Works closely with management within organizational structure (VP Finance, VP Risk, VP of Technology, VP HR/ERC) to implement business objectives and promote strategic direction. 9. Oversees administration of investment portfolio to provide liquidity and safety, while optimizing earnings in accordance with establish policies. 10. Promotes organizational efficiencies to improve quality and quantity of member service with technology, enhanced employee productivity, and communication. 11. Understands, believes, communicates and supports the credit union philosophy, values and mission of the organization. 12. Ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), NCUA and other regulatory agency guidelines. Adheres to all compliance standards set forth by Federal and State laws and Regulations. 13. Participates with other members of senior management and the Board of Directors in strategic planning concerning the future direction and operations of the Credit Union. Supervisory Responsibility: This position has direct supervisory responsibility for the VP Finance, VP HR, VP Technology, and the VP Risk Management. Interpersonal Contacts: This highly visible position has direct contact and regular interactions within all levels of the organization, the Board of Directors, state and federal examiners and other key external stakeholders. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field. Qualification Requirements: A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive leadership/management experience, with at least four of those years in a Finance or Accounting Management position within the financial services industry (Credit Union or Banking). Previous experience leading technology is desirable. Skills, Job Knowledge & Abilities: 1.
