Requirements

Non-GU Student Research Assistant

Under the supervision of a faculty member conducting a research project, the Faculty Research Assist ant is responsible for assisting the faculty member in a variety of non-administrative tasks related to the research project, which may include, but are not limited to, researching the relevant legal source materials, conducting reviews of the relevant academic literatures, collecting and analyzing data, and drafting articles and books for scholarly publication. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Performs legal research and/or literature reviews.
  • Engages in legal analysis and writing.
  • Collects and analyzes data.
  • Prepares articles, book chapters, presentations, reports, white papers, and the like for the purpose of disseminating research.

Requirements

  • B.A. or other relevant post secondary degree, as required by the faculty member.
  • Academic and/or work experience related to the field of research, as defined by the faculty member.
  • Experience with specialized data sets or software, as required by the faculty member.
  • Other preferred requirements and qualifications, as defined by the faculty member.
