Sodexo is hiring two Environmental Services /Custodial Managers at Children's Hospital and Clinics of Minnesota, one of the largest children's health care organizations in the US with two hospital campuses in St. Paul and Minneapolis. This position is located in Minneapolis, MN. The hospital has 230 beds and approximately 800K cleanable square feet. We are seeking candidates that can work both the 1st and 2nd shift. The position will require rotating weekends (every 4th weekend).

This Manager will lead a team of up to 50 hospital union employees with an emphasis on client and patient satisfaction at all times. This Manager will also oversee Linen operations. Overall, this position will provide leadership and insight through our Sodexo programs while maintaining cleaning quality to a very high level.

The ideal candidate for this position will have previous Environmental Services Management experience in a hospital or healthcare setting OR in the hospitality field. Seeking a self-starter with strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive employee and client relationships. Strong floor care experience is preferred.

Position Summary

Provides management oversight for Environmental Services non-exempt level staff (client and/or Sodexo employees) in the delivery of Sodexo Environmental Service Programs. Ensures Sodexo Operating Standards for Environmental Service are in place as required to consistently meet all company, client, and regulatory requirements. Responsible for non-exempt work force planning through effective scheduling, development of daily work flow assignments, training and development, and monitoring for compliance to the plan.

Key Duties
-Establishes a safe work environment for clients, customers and staff by ensuring equipment safety and compliance with Sodexo safety and loss prevention programs and by providing safety-related training and equipment inventory maintenance.

-Provide leadership and direction to non-exempt employees
-Coordinate/conduct employee training
-Administer Human Resource processes (hiring, performance reviews, constructive counseling, prepare work schedules, payroll, etc.)
-Interact with outside vendors
-Ensure Sodexo Operating Standards for Environmental Service are in place and consistently met.
-Develop/implement action plans for improvement in compliance with Sodexo Operating Standards as identified.
-Reviews and maintains assigned areas of the Sodexo/Client budget commitments
