Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data.
Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs.
Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks.
Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Requires two year allied health degree.
Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Prefer qualified candidates have experience in abdomen, small parts, be strong in OB/Gyn and physician assisted exams such as biopsies and drainages.
The facility is a 90+ bed regional healthcare facility, serving the residents of northern Missouri.
The position reports to the Director of the Department(Chief Technologist).
The position is a day shift and primarily 8am-5pm plus on call rotation(1 out of 3 weeks).
Call backs range from 1-2 on average per week. Person will get compensated $2hr for on call with time and a half for coming back in.
The facility is offering between 52K-80K depending on experience. They also offer great benefit package that includes relocation.
