APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 yrs experience in a lead role involved with OEM Applications and be familiar with Design, as well as production.

This is a hands on role, that will also require several elements from the inception of the order to the final install of the equipment on the customer floor.

Lastly, the client is requiring a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably with a focus on electrical, mechanical or robotics.

Summary: Provides application support through product demonstrations, customer service
phone support, and sales support in a timely manner by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Responds to customers application questions or issues by providing application support
via telephone and on-site.*
2. Assists in maximizing company sales by providing superior application support to all
departments within the company.*
3. Provides sales support at industry tradeshows and open house opportunities.*
4. Conducts application training to customers, client staff, and product dealers.*
5. Programming of multi-axis applications utilizing CAM-systems.*
6. Assists in maintaining the overall professional appearance of demonstration center and
applications area.*
7. Performs time studies, test cuts, and machine demonstrations as needed.*
8. Provides technical support/installation/shipping of company show room machines.*
9. Assists in reviewing applications aspects of RFQs and turnkey systems and feasibility.*
10. Works with sales personnel as requested to answer prospective customers application
related questions.
11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals,

to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and
fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as
fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to
interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal
with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite,
SAP, CAD/CAM programing using 5-Axis CAD/CAM software, Microsoft Project and Microsoft
Internet Explorer.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts degree; and four to six years related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specialized Training:
In-house training programs to increase product knowledge on an ongoing basis.
