Assembly Maintenance Tech

To learn and assist in the maintenance and repair of all presses and equipment, while adhering to the Preventative Maintenance Program.
Develop and perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance.
Fabrication and repair of equipment.
Troubleshoot, fix and/or recommend all repairs, upgrades or improvements.
Order parts and call in any service technicians from outside companies as required.
Maintain records of maintenance performed.
Help prevent unscheduled downtime.
Perform building maintenance.
Perform and adhere to lock-out procedures, along with any and all other safety rules and regulations.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Work with and train under the direction of the molding manager or designee.
Has authority to stop the process if nonconforming or suspect material is found.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of electrical troubleshooting experience.
Demonstrated ability to perform basic machine maintenance and building maintenance.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Ability to drive and operate a forklift.
Ability to operate an overhead crane.
Good recordkeeping skills
Basic computer skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Strong team player.
NON-REQUIRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Some college coursework or certification in related field.
Ability to read hydraulic and electrical blueprints.
PLC experience for troubleshooting.
Lock Out Tag Out Training
Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
REPORTING TO THIS POSITION:
No direct reports.
Walk; sit; stand, climb ladder; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with arms and hands; balance, stoop, twist, bend, talk, and hear; lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
MEASURE OF PERFORMANCE:
Annual review with emphasis on unscheduled downtime numbers.
Preventative Maintenance Program.
Production output of machines.
Timely completion of assigned tasks and goals.
Accuracy of tasks as outlined.
Ability to continually develop skills and adapt to new technologies and techniques.
Effectively communicate with management.
Overall effectiveness of performance of all responsibilities in this position description.
