General Summary of Position:

The Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for: Adjunct Professors (who teach 1-2 courses per year). The successful candidates will be expected to begin work in September, 2018 and assist in teaching a range of classes that may include: Introduction to Chemical Engineering, Material and Energy Balances, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Transport Phenomena, Separation Processes, Unit Operations and Process Dynamics and Controls Laboratories, Applied Engineering Problem Solving, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Engineering Economics and Process Analysis, Chemical Plant Design, Process Dynamics and Control.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Applicants must have both a BS and PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, or closely related disciplines to be considered

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience in Chemical Engineering is preferred
  • Ability to teach the following courses:
    • Introduction to Chemical Engineering, Material and Energy Balances, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Transport Phenomena, Separation Processes, Unit Operations and Process Dynamics and Controls Laboratories, Applied Engineering Problem Solving, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Engineering Economics and Process Analysis, Chemical Plant Design, Process Dynamics and Control.
