Assistant Research Professor, Associate Research Professor or Research
Posted on Nov 11, 2018 by University of Massachusetts Dartmouth
The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is accepting applications for the positions of Research Professor, Research Associate Professor and Research Assistant Professor.
Applicants for these positions must have a PhD or equivalent degree and a secure source of external funding that can be used to support the costs of their salary and fringe benefits - for example grant funding from a State or Federal agency. Successful applicants will be expected to establish and maintain an active externally funded research program that generates salary support for themselves and advances the scholarly mission of the University. The level of the appointment, Research Professor, Research Associate Professor or Research Assistant Professor, will be determined by the scholarly credentials of the applicant as measured by the number and quality of peer reviewed journal publications and monographs, and by the applicant's record of successful grant applications.
Interested applicants should submit a letter of interest that includes a detailed research plan, a curriculum vita and a clear explanation of the source and nature of their current funding support. Applicants who do not have a current source of funding that can provide support for their own salary and fringe benefits will not be considered. Continuation of employment for these positions depends upon satisfactory performance and continued salary support through the securing of external funds. Applications from qualified applicants for both full time and part-time positions will be considered and evaluated as they are received.
UMass Dartmouth is an AA/EEO employer of women, minorities, protected veterans and individuals with disabilities and encourages applications from members of these and other protected groups.
