Benefits Coordinator - Bilingual

Duties


  • Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
  • Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.
  • Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
  • Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
  • Enrolls employees with carriers and process life status changes.
  • Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
  • Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.
  • Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
  • Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts including the annual catch-up contribution enrollment.
  • Coordinates and manages the open enrollment process.
  • Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.
  • Ad-hoc reporting as required.
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned by the VP of Human Resources

    QUALIFICATIONS



  • 4-6 years of experience in benefits/HR in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Flexibility and resiliency in the face of change and business pressures with the ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment with changing priorities
  • Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality
  • Ability to drive programs independently to completion
  • A great team attitude is required and ability to work well with others
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (speaking/reading/writing)


    REQUIRED



  • Associate's degree in HR or related field, but experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for the education.
  • 4-6 years' experience in benefits administration. Manufacturing environment experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Human Resources practices (e.g. benefits, HRIS, legal compliance)
  • Understanding of employment law and legislation
  • Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (speaking/reading/writing)


    PREFERRED



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field of study.
  • PHR or SPHR/SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification credential.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Prior customer service experience.



    REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

  • HR Certification a plus
