Business Analyst

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic data migration consultancy based in Watford, Hertfordshire, operating a hybrid flexible working model. We are looking for a permanent experienced Business Analyst who will be critical to this fast-growing company's success in delivering large scale data integrations and migrations in the cloud.
The role will involve identifying and assessing changing business needs, capturing, and documenting requirements, analysing the impact of changes, and supporting the business throughout the process. Although not a technical role, many of the requirements will be describing technical processes. You will work directly with stakeholders to support the delivery of business process mapping both as is (source) and to be (target).
For some projects the role would involve defining and agreeing the Data Scope, Business Rules, Data Mappings for example:
- Agree scope for data sharing
- Agree Recursive Addition rules/Implied Delete Rules/Business Rules/Scope Rules/Security Rules:
- Certain records in the source system may need special consideration when being considered for extracting, such as:
- Records that have been designated as exempt from extraction
- Data integrity, ensure source and target remain in sync
- Records requiring enhanced security attributes
The ideal candidate will have a strong business analysis background, be able to communicate effectively at all levels including managing client focused workshops and have successfully helped deliver a number of system replacement projects. Essential Skills:
Strong, proven business analysis skills with significant experience of working on large scale system replacement projects.
Experience of structured modelling techniques to capture the business model, user requirements and business architecture design eg, BPMN, UML etc.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Experience in engaging with stakeholders at all levels and organising and running requirements workshops.
A track record of being extremely delivery focussed.
A methodical and analytical approach to problem solving.
Desirable skills:
Prince 2 and/or Agile.
Previous experience working within UK police forces or other law enforcement agencies.
Mandatory Requirement:
Security Clearance is required to SC level, you must be willing to undergo clearance as part of the recruitment process. Five years' residency in the UK is a mandatory requirement of security clearance, as is ownership of a passport.
