Lead a key team in a growing Risk Division

A superb opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Continuity Manager to join a growing and forward thinking Risk Division.

The successful candidate will lead the effective management of Business Continuity (BC) and Operational Resilience (OR) and oversee the Group Disaster Recovery (DR) programme in IT.

You will lead a team to investigate, challenge, negotiate and advise on the approach to BC, OR and Disaster Recovery and highlight areas of concern outside risk appetites with recommendations for improvement to stakeholders in line with Group policies and procedures, market best practice and regulatory requirements. You will train all levels of incident managers and BC planners on a 1:1 basis or through training forums.

In addition, you will provide expert technical advice, support and assurance to senior stakeholders, individuals and data owners in their responsibilities and obligations under the ISO 22301 and FCA/PRA standards to ensure corporate and regulatory compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.

About you

  • As Business Continuity Manager you will have a recognised BC certification such as MBCI
  • You will have worked in a similar role and will have expert experience of Business Continuity (BC) ideally within a 2nd line assurance function eg understanding of BC risk frameworks, policies and risk reporting
  • You will have an expert understanding of control principles and practices and familiarity with the ISO 22301
  • You will ideally have experience of leading a team and knowledge of the UK Financial Services/Insurance industry is desirable
