Business Continuity Risk Management Consultant

About the role
  • Basic salary up to £50,000 and annual bonus potential of 17.5%
  • Location: Home based with travel to offices once a week in Warwickshire
  • Permanent position

Due to growth within our client's thriving Risk Division, we are looking to recruit a Business Continuity Risk Management Consultant on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will support the Business Continuity Manager in embedding Business Continuity, Operations Resilience and overseeing the Group Disaster Recovery program in our IT Division.

The successful candidate will provide expert technical advice across the business, ensuring business areas, suppliers and change programmes resilience is in line with the Group's risk appetites and in line with industry standards eg ISO 22301 and regulations eg FCA/PRA. You will ensure the Group's Business Continuity infrastructure, tools and processes are in line with best practice and are working effectively by carrying out walkthroughs or live tests and will train employees accordingly.

You will collate the results of Business Continuity Business Impact Assessments and incidents; and analyse the results to identify critical areas to oversee, improve and manage from a resilience perspective. You will support the creation and roll out of the Group's BC policies and risk frameworks, so they are in line with current regulations and best practice; and monitor and oversee the maintenance of an enterprise wide exceptions register to policy compliance.

About you:

  • You will ideally have a background within Disaster Recovery or at the least a strong understanding.
  • You will have demonstrable knowledge of the Business Continuity ISO 22301 and Operational Resilience regulations and its practical application within a business with a recognised qualification such as MBCI.
  • You will understand the ISF Standard of Good Practice and other IT incident management and system and data recovery standards such as ISO 27000.
  • You will have experience of Business Impact Analysis and designing and delivering relevant Business Continuity exercises and be confident in doing so.
  • You will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels.
