Hours : 15-22.5 hrs per week

The programme team is primarily based in Bristol, but all are currently home-working. Our client is willing to accept applicants from anywhere in the UK given the current homeworking set up and national focus of the programme.

This is a unique opportunity to join this environmental charity's well-established Communities Prepared programme as a Project Support Officer, supporting community resilience across the UK by taking the lead on administrative and communications elements of the programme.

Summary of role: The highly successful Communities Prepared programme places people and communities at its core with a ground-breaking step forward for community resilience towards emergencies by empowering and mobilising community emergency volunteers (CEVs) across the country.

CEVs trained through Communities Prepared support their communities to be more resilient by preparing for, responding to, and helping with the recovery from, flooding events and other emergencies. With an action plan based on their local knowledge, they assist the emergency services and support the community, as well as serve a vital purpose in early warning, reassurance, and support for vulnerable people.

The charity is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Project Support Officer to work with the wider Communities Prepared team across all administrative and communications aspects of the programme, helping to ensure its successful delivery over the next two years and furthering its aim to create more resilient communities.
