Solution Designer - Telecoms

My client, a global telecoms operator is currently looking for and experienced solution Designer to join them on a long term contract basis.

Please note this role is Inside IR35.

As the solution designer you will involved in the following:

• High-Level Designs of end-to-end solution for individual projects in the discovery and design stages, in coordination with the Client's delivery teams and delivery partners.
• Adhering to Standards, patterns, best practice documentation and tools (eg Sparx EA)
• Architecture and Design governance and associated quality related artefacts, reports & approvals on behalf of the Client, for ongoing delivery of the above designs

The successful candidate will need to have the following knowledge and experience

• Telco background - specifically in mobile networks governed by 3GPP (3G/4G/5G)
• Familiarity with BSS and OSS applications in the Telco space.
• Good technical grasp on 3GPP services offered on cellular networks, ie messaging, data and voice.
• Good Stakeholder and communication skills.
• Must be able to drive meetings with many technical and business stakeholders and steer towards optimum solution option.
• Must be able to support and drive conversations where requirements are vague or unclear to converge on agreed requirements.
• Good collaboration skills and team player, ensuring past experience and expertise is re-used rather than re-inventing the wheel on new assignments.
• Ability to review and assure technical requirements/solution documents and artefacts
• Able to constructively and effectively challenge other technical teams regarding their output.
• To take responsibility/ownership of the Network Integration HLD
• To work closely with the internal and supplier teams
