Essentially, my client is looking for someone to come on board and make sure the developers are doing their job correctly and to the best of their ability.

You will monitor and improve the quality of development, deployment capabilities and systems configurations, and address application and system vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight throughout the software development life cycle to ensure requirements, specifications and standards are met

  • Work alongside DevOps engineers to improve the CI/CD capabilities
  • Monitor and actively seek to improve the performance and efficiency of development teams/suppliers
  • Assist the release teams to ensure successful and continual deployments
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of business and IT projects to meet deadlines, budgets and outcomes
  • Identify and manage technical project risks and issues
  • Manage and maintain the development and CI/CD toolset
  • Monitor the integrity and configuration of software and application platforms across all environments

What you'll bring

This role will suit anyone with experience in developing reliable and responsive websites and web-based applications, and leading development teams to deliver quality software products and change in an agile environment.

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft development and database technologies (ie .NET Framework, C#, SQL Server using Visual Studio and TFS/Azure DevOps)

  • Good understanding of AWS capabilities, features and limitations - Beneficial
  • Experience working in environments with microservice application architectures
  • Understanding of secure development practices and experience in mitigating common web vulnerabilities
  • Experience with identity and access management technologies and protocols
  • Good knowledge and experience of database design, development and optimisation
