Responsibilities:

As a Recruiter at Sargent & Lundy you will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.



 



In this position, you will:



Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process



Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria



Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization



Assist with job posting and advertisement processes



Screen applications and selects qualified candidates



Schedule interviews; oversee preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials



Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers and other stakeholders



Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, start dates, and other pertinent details



Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies



Attend and participate in college career fairs



Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation



Provide guidance and input on business unit workforce planning



Compile and prepare HR-related reports as requested



Handle special HR projects as assigned



Qualifications:

Required skills and experience:



Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management with a major/concentration in Human Resources or a related field



3 or more years of progressive HR experience as a Recruiter or HR Generalist



Ability to diagnose problems and identify and drive appropriate solutions



Ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to make informed decisions



Thorough working knowledge of labor laws



Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships, influence, and negotiate at all levels of the organization



Strong internal and external customer service focus



The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously - orientated on results



Bias for action, strong work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence



Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement



Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook



Familiarity with internet sourcing skills, such as Boolean search, and experience with some of the following: LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, or other job boards



Attention to detail



Function effectively in a fast-paced recruiting environment



Willing to travel and work occasional overtime



Valued but not required skills and experience: 



Experience at a consulting, professional services, or architecture / engineering firm



Experience working with iCIMS



HR Certifications
