Overview:

The purpose of the IT Project Manager is to manage all aspects of the project life cycle to support the overall IT strategy of the business. The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing both the daily and strategic delivery of the technical solutions throughout our organization and is the key day-to-day interface between the Product, Business Groups, and Engineering teams. Their key responsibility is to convey the vision of the product to the engineering teams, to prioritize the team’s backlog, and to set direction for product releases and sprints.



Responsibilities:

Determine and define project scopes and objectives.



Develop project plans and drive project milestones.



Establish an effective communication plan with the project team and key stakeholders, act as the focal point for communication on assigned projects.



Provide day-to-day direction to project team members.



Ensure effective change management occurs throughout the course of each project.



Responsible for preparation of documentation, status reports, and budgets.



Coordinate project deliverables across technical and non-technical resources.



Escalate project issues or delays to the appropriate project lead as appropriate.



Build, create, and execute post completion training and user adoption plans.



Manage stakeholders’ communication, including reporting on project performance.



Coordinate work between teams by escalating blockers and providing executive summaries.



Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.



Manage engagements with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.



Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution.



Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate, and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.



Measure project performance to assess, track, and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels to identify areas for improvement.



Manage project documentation to support related technology and/or business processes.



Prepare budgets based on scope of work and resource requirements.



Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.



Track project costs to meet budget.



Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.



May be required to cross train and perform other duties.



Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS



At least 5 years of IT project management experience and bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a closely related field or equivalent combination of experience and education.



Experience in a business, information technology infrastructure or a software development area and experience working with business requirements, root cause analysis, gap analysis, creating software or business modeling.



A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.



Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.



Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.



Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.



Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).



Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.



Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.



Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn Oracle POS, ERP, and CRM systems.



Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.



Excellent customer service skills.



Strong understanding of retail business practices.



Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.



Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.



Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
