Position Description
The IT Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of assigned technology projects, including analysis, design, planning, implementation, and training. This position will be a leading change agent responsible for transforming a vision into a realistic plan and executing it.
Responsibilities:
Duties Include
Essential Functions:
Manages project development from initiation to closure
Accountable for project results along with project sponsor
Works with project sponsor and stakeholders to complete project plan outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing
Manages project scope by ensuring any changes are necessary, approved, and documented
Ensures close collaboration and coordination with stakeholders and resources to guarantee smooth implementation of activities
Communicates expectations to project resources and stakeholders
Acts as liaison between stakeholders and team members
Resolves any issues and solves problems throughout the project life cycle
Tracks and reports on project milestones and provides status reports
Determines if external resources are needed and manages those resources
Responsible for project documentation, implementation, and closeout
Creates user documentation and conducts employee training when necessary
Responsible for administration and training of Townsend’s ERP system
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field
Minimum of five (5) years of project management and related experience
Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
Excellent analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills and highly resourceful
Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the position
Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations
Be at least 18 years of age, or 21 if CDL is required
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for employment, unless you qualify for an accommodation
Preferred:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
