Network Security Engineer Level2/3 Support

The main purpose of the job:

  • This is a technical role where you will be working as part of the Infrastructure and Network team to use key network techniques and technologies, to meet my client's fast evolving security and transformation program.
  • They are looking for someone with extensive experience in network security and Firewall implementation with a history of providing 2nd and 3rd level technical support in a similar field. A motivated individual who strives for excellence and who will actively drive forward the strengthening and transformation of Landmark's network security.
  • You will work closely with the existing network, security, application delivery and engineering teams and will be responsible for the delivery of a key project under the support of the network team lead.
  • You will be required to monitor and review Firewall policy rule sets in comparison with associated applications. Collaboration with Application Delivery and Engineering teams is essential to provide an understanding of application topologies and traffic flows
  • You will plan improvements and implement Firewall changes under strict change control, aligning configuration to best practice and compliance recommendations to facilitate the delivery of this key project
  • You will additionally be required to plan, configure and deploy Intrusion Protection System and Antivirus security policies to Firewall devices.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following:

  • Fortinet NSE 5 or above
  • Cisco CCNA
  • Cisco CCNA Security
  • Cisco ASA
  • Fortinet FortiGate
  • Fortigate FortiAuthenticator
  • Fortigate FortiManager
  • Self-driven and motivated. Is competent and stays focused and committed to a task.
  • Organised and methodical. Capable of prioritising and managing own workload and coordinating
  • change.
  • Confident. Capable of working independently, using initiative and with minimal supervision.
  • Team player. Keen to contribute ideas, share knowledge and collaborate.
