GENERAL SUMMARY



BASED IN SCA BUT ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION.

Responsible for researching, developing and writing and/or editing new policies and procedures for business units throughout Bank. Produce end user documents including internal communications, policy, standard/guideline and procedure documents for publication in the Policies and Procedures Library (PPL), job aids, reference tools, and process flows. Work closely with business unit managers to resolve procedural gaps or inconsistencies. Review and revise existing policies and procedures to improve workflow and create efficiencies while minimizing risk exposure.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



1. Develop and write new policies, standards, guidelines and procedures ensuring effectiveness, consistency, and adherence to established department standards and timelines. Work with or without an initial draft from requesting business unit.



2. Partner with department managers in evaluating, writing and/or editing policies for enhancements or modifications.



3. Translate meeting discussion notes into an internal communication or a comprehensive policy and/or procedure.



4. Analyze existing procedures to identify gaps, inconsistencies or conflicts and take appropriate action to resolve.



5. Work closely with assigned business units including Information Technology, Product Management, Financial Crime Intelligence Unit (FCIU), Compliance, Operations, Credit, Human Resources and Controller on new policy/procedure development.



6. Research and write internal communications, new manuals and prepares document updates. Revise outdated information.



7. Create, update and maintain various job aids and reference material.



8. Develop new forms and update old forms as needed as they relate to published documents.



9. Coordinate or lead documentation projects. May manage multiple projects concurrently.



10. Ensure the established approval process for Bank policies, standards, guidelines and procedures by managing review cycles on behalf of the department.



11. Maintain accurate archives of master documents and prior versions with corresponding required approvals.



12. Execute review and certification with document owners according to current requirements established by document type.



13. Issue published document change announcements.



14. Maintain and report current pipeline and status of documents pending and in process.

REQUIREMENTS:



QUALIFICATIONS







Education: College degree with business classes preferred.



Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of policy and procedure writing and/or business analysis experience in a banking or financial services operational environment. Project management/ coordination experience preferred. Must have 2-4 years experience working in general banking or lending operations, with responsibility for implementing and recommending related policies and procedures.
