We are looking for one "remote SharePoint online migration specialist and developer" to start from ASAP an initial contract about 6 months for an international Org' -client in ROME, where 100% REMOTE work is possible to support the technical implementation of the migration from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online.

100% Off-site/Off-shore. A competitive rate will increase chances to be selected.

AT A GLANCE:

  • Our client uses SharePoint as its document and records management software, with a number of small applications for specific processes also developed within it. Currently, client uses Sharepoint 2013, but with this project will move to Sharepoint online. Sharepoint 2013 is hosted at an external Computing Centre.
  • You will support the technical implementation of the migration from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online.
  • Mandatory: Must have completed at least 2 migrations from on-prem Sharepoint 2013 to Sharepoint online as technical lead
  • Mandatory: At least 3 years experience of working with Sharepoint online and at least 5 years total technical experience with Sharepoint
  • Mandatory: Demonstrable experience of custom development in Sharepoint online
  • Experience of configuring Sharepoint online, including Security, Privacy and Permission in SharePoint, as well as integrating with Active Directory and synchronizing user profile
  • Duration: June - December, 2022, 100% remote. Extensions possible.

TASKS

  • Analyse current SharePoint instance used to manage client documents. This analysis includes reviewing existing documentation but also reviewing the setup of all SP site collections and custom code
  • Plan the migration, identify key milestones and approach for moving content and moving functionality
  • Provide clear guidance to the client team on options for moving custom functionality to facilitate quick decision making and change management planning
  • Align configuration setup with the client team and ensure full compliance with client security requirements
  • Co-ordinate all changes with the current SharePoint administrators, providing clear timelines and requirements for the migration
  • Implement the technical project of moving content and rebuilding agreed custom functionality. First iteration of the move will be into a staging environment for business owner validation and subsequent move will be to production.
  • Carry out system testing, fixing any issues or bugs discovered
  • Support the business users during their validation.
  • Manage tickets raised by the business users, addressing agreed technical issues and fixing any bugs identified.
  • Implement the migration into Production, working closely with the full client and UNICC team throughout to ensure a smooth transition.

SKILLS

  • Mandatory: Must have completed at least 2 migrations from on-prem Sharepoint 2013 to Sharepoint online as technical lead
  • Mandatory: At least 3 years experience of working with Sharepoint online and at least 5 years total technical experience with Sharepoint
  • Mandatory: Demonstrable experience of custom development in Sharepoint online
  • Experience of configuring Sharepoint online, including Security, Privacy and Permission in SharePoint, as well as integrating with Active Directory and synchronizing user profile
  • Demonstrable knowledge of C#, JavaScript, typescript, jQuery, pnp js, jsom, csom, rest-API
  • Experience in SQL Server Database design
  • Experience of developing/modifying workflows in SharePoint
  • Maintain up to date code repository in GitHub
  • Ability to document technical projects.
  • University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related discipline with at least six years of professional work experience, of which 3 must be with the SharePoint
  • Microsoft certifications a bonus
