Hazardous Waste Business Development Manager

The Development Manager will be responsible for the further development of the Industrial Hazardous Waste Division, by securing new business revenue and explore new business opportunities within the Cawleys Hazardous Waste Division.

Hazardous Waste Business Development Manager - The Role:

Identify and deliver new customer partnerships to ensure Cawleys continues its growth within the hazardous waste sector.

National Business Development Manager - Key Responsibilities:

· Confidently develop and generate leads and new business wins, committing to excellent customer service throughout the whole sales cycle and process.
· Full responsibility for hazardous waste growth within the core sector of our business, and to continually review the business development strategy, update and revise as necessary.
· Maximise the sales performance by establishing strong relationships and gaining insight into the needs of the customer in key sectors such as Automotive, Manufacturing, Food Manufacture, Pharmaceutical, Industrial and Commercial.
· Perform a full analysis of current/future markets and competitive research to further develop sales and growth strategy for the Hazardous Waste in alignment with strategic objectives of the wider business.
· To establish a repeatable sales process shaped by an in-depth understanding of pipeline, business practices, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
· Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant information/reports to the senior management.

Knowledge, Training, Experience, Technical and Personal Skills:

Required

· B2B sales experience for complex, multi stakeholder sales.
· Proven track record in Hazardous Sales and Development and target performance.
· Excellent project and programme management skills, with the ability to work to deadlines in a high-pressured environment.
· An in-depth understanding of business development processes including bid and proposal management.
· Good negotiation skills combined with strong commercial awareness.
· Strong influencing skills.
· Hands on and methodical, organised with attention to detail.
· Strong relationship building skills and be a confident networker.
· Problem solver, with ability to identify and implement sustainable solutions to customer requests.
· Highly focused on delivering results and objectives with a strong personal commitment to supporting the business in achieving its goals in a changing environment.
· Must have a proactive and safety focused approach.
· Strong PC and technical knowledge and skills with a good working knowledge of the Microsoft packages including Word and Excel.
· Full UK driving licence.

· Experience working within waste industry
· Knowledge of dangerous and hazardous good
· Good negotiation skills combined with strong commercial awareness.
· Proactive and safety focused approach.
· Hands on and methodical, organised with attention to detail.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including formal presentation and documentation skills.
· Analytical and logical in approach with the ability to analyse data and formulate action plans.
· Strong relationship building skills and be a confident networker.
· Highly focused on delivering results and objectives with a strong personal commitment to supporting the business in achieving its goals in a changing environment.
· ADR
· IOSH
· Strong PC and technical knowledge and skills with a good working knowledge of the Microsoft packages including Word and Excel.
