Overview of contract

On behalf of our client, a leading financial services institution in Zürich, we are looking for Risk Control Specialists to support Risk senior management in setting and implementing risk standards, conducting risk reviews, and in the coordination of relationships with internal and external stakeholders

This is a 6-month contract based in Zurich

Main responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation and consistent operation of risk processes and principles (including new business initiatives and complex transactions)
• Within their area of expertise, ensure that the firm's risk standards are set to allow for an efficient and effective delivery of risk control coverage, and in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Take a broad view of the risks and help ensure that material issues are escalated to the relevant control functions and that reputation concerns are escalated to senior management
• Lead and coordinate risk reviews in their area of expertise
• Understand the products, processes, systems and policies, as well as the regulatory requirements and trends relevant for fulfilling the role
• Review and respond to requests from the internal and external stakeholders, proactively and constructively, while adhering to the firm's risk principles and standards
• Ensure regulatory requirements and requests are dealt with in a disciplined, timely and efficient manner
• Ensure trends and developments in their area of expertise are identified early, and escalated, as needed, with a recommendation to senior management

Your skills:

• Experience gained within a Risk Analysis, Risk process or in a Policy/Governance environment.
• Gained a degree in a relevant qualification of be studying the CFA
• Good English language skills
