Project Portfolio Manager - Portfolio Management

Role & responsibilities:

• Project portfolio management is a senior leadership discipline to accomplish strategic goals and maximise business value through its project investments. It's about doing the right work.
• As a Project Portfolio Manager, you will be assigned to a number of portfolios.
• You ensure the portfolio management process runs effectively and smoothly for a set number of portfolios
• You educate and coach various stakeholders on the portfolio management process and hold people accountable to following them
• You analyse and report against value, risk, resource capacity, progress, and performance of the portfolio
• You bring forth recommendations to the portfolio on how to improve portfolio performance, which projects to select, which projects to prioritise, and how to optimise the portfolio
• You support portfolio decision making on when new projects can be initiated and whether existing projects stay on track
• You report the outcome/decisions made by the portfolios to the relevant project stakeholders

Required qualifications:

• You have experience within portfolio and/or project management.
• You work well in a team and have strong interpersonal skills
• You are able to interact with senior management in a mature and convincing style, you understand their views of senior management and act upon them accordingly
• You easily work with a widespread network of people from different Divisions
• You actively listen to others and reach out to provide support
• You have an interest in IT portfolio management
• You have strong analytical skills and the ability to distil key messages. You are equally able to both step back in order to understand the context/big picture and to deep dive into certain points of attention/problems.
• You find the right balance between enforcing rules and processes and demonstrating an ability to be flexible/service oriented
• You are committed to continuous process improvement with a sense of purpose mindset
• You are fluent in English (speaking & writing).
