Network Engineer

Flint is currently looking for a Network Engineer for a long-term contract with our client in Italy.

The ideal candidate must speak Italian and can work completely remote.

Length of Contract: 1 year + extension

Location: Remote/Milan, Italy.

Start date: May 2022

Rate: €370/day

General skills:

• Good understanding of the IP technologies, protocols and network topology
• Good understanding of the Network operations processes & Functions
• 5-6 years. of experience in Data Center and/or IP Core Network Operations
• Good communication skills
• Languages: Italian mother tongue and good level of English
• At least CCNP level is required.
• Network Protocols: MSTP, HSRP, Fabricpath, vPC, OSPF, BPG, MP-BGP.
• Familiar with Cisco Routers and Switches as well as other relevant 3rd parties products, such as:

Cisco Nexus (all models, NX-OS)

Cisco ASR9k (IOS-XR)

Juniper Firewall

F5 Load Balancer

• Basic knowledge of Python Scripting required

Professional Profile - Senior Network Engineer:

• He/She will join a Team responsible for SW/HW/Design upgrade and L2/L3 optimization in the Cloud and Infrastructure network.
• Accountability, Proactivity, Self-motivation, Enthusiasm, Teamwork spirit are key elements
• He/She will be involved in activities like hardware/software life cycle and evolution management, network hygiene/standardization, as well as the search for network improvements to proactively diagnose potential issues.
• He/She will act as focal point for project implementation
• He/She will provide Field level support during any emergency conditions and service outages
• He/She will be responsible to prepare Project documentation (LLD/configuration template/pre and post checks documents) as well as all required migration documents
• He/She will Develop and maintain NW documentation (Wiki)
• He/She will provide assistance for analysing proposed changes and reviewing associated risk
• Availability to work off business hours is needed
