Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Project Manager required for an established consultancy's Edinburgh, Glasgow, Cardiff, Manchester, London or Bristol office with flexible working. Reporting to the Project Director and working within the EIA team, you will work alongside ecologists, planners, architects to help develop a variety of projects covering renewables, transmission and other land development works. You will utilise your EIA skills to manage and produce reviews of EIAs and Environmental Statements (ES) with the opportunity for professional development provided by the client.
Salary range: 30k - 50k negotiable, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
* Assist with EIA tender and business development, with a focus on renewable energy.
* Effectively manage EIA projects through liaison with internal and external stakeholders, attending meetings & consultations to represent the client etc
* Management and input towards production of EIA reports and Environmental Statements including the creation and review of report chapters, figures
* Reviewing draft review reports and management of relevant review work
Skills and experience:
* Experience acting as EIA project manager on the consultancy or client side, ideally in a variety of sectors for large projects with renewable energy experience being highly beneficial
* Demonstrable experience negotiating with stakeholders with ability to build and maintain client relationships
* Degree in relevant discipline such as planning, environmental science with post graduate qualifications desirable
* Comprehensive knowledge of EIAs within the development process with experience in wider development planning and the design process being beneficial
