M&E Project Manager - District Heating, Flexible across the UK. Salary range 33,500 - 50,300 + car/cash allowance, + bonus to 10% + nice benefits

This is an exciting opportunity with a leading distributed energy and private networks business who finance, own, operate and maintain energy infrastructure for commercial, industrial and residential customers - providing them with a market leading project development service and certainty of operational performance and asset management.

The role

The company delivers construction projects that are spread across multi utility disciplines. As M&E Project Manager (District Heating), you'll take responsibility for the management and delivery of the adoption process from initiation of construction until handover to the Assets team.

Company's PMs wear many hats - working in collaboration with all stakeholders including internal teams (the Business Development Managers, Legal, Engineering & Technical Managers) and external delivery partners (the Clients, Head Contractors & Sub-contractors) on distributed energy systems, primarily heat networks.

During construction, periodic site visits will be required to check/scrutinise quality of installation to ensure it's compliant with design specifications and company's adoption processes.

You'll manage project lifecycle objectives associated with safety, budget, specification, quality and time - working with the wider team on the preparation of contracts and any associated/ required amendments.

Key tasks

* Accurate reporting throughout the lifecycle of the project(s) within your remit
* Sufficiently manage practical engineering & technical queries in collaboration with the Technical Managers/ wider Energy Solutions team
* Chair, lead and manage various project meetings with the relevant stakeholders

Essential requirements

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

* Project Management experience in a construction environment, with knowledge of district heating/ cooling networks and associated systems.
* You're able to understand critical success factors and project KPI's such as safety, performance, schedules, etc and the importance of project reporting
* Understanding of various contracts eg Energy Services Agreement (ESCo) to determine what's been agreed and the responsibilities of all parties
* Knowledge of CIBSE CP1 - Heat Networks Code of Practice, and metering. You might have an engineering qualification/ degree (or equivalent), but this isn't essential if you have demonstrable relevant experience
* Able to communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders, making sure technical information is presented accurately and effectively understood by the audience whilst simultaneously managing expectations

Remuneration

Salary range 33,500 - 50,300 + car/cash allowance + bonus to 10% + attractive benefits
