An accomplished, Midlands based Project Manager/Workstream Lead is required for a 6 month FIXED TERM contract for our well established financial services client based in Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire.

As a Workstream Lead you will work remotely with 1-2 days per week on client site in Stratford upon Avon.

You will have at least 5 years experience working as a Project Manager in an Agile environment, with experience of dealing with change projects and highly complex projects whilst holding accountability for deliverables. Ideally, experience in the financial services sector is preferred.

Please be aware that this is NOT a Technical/Infrastructure Project Manager role.

The primary focus will be to lead and plan IT deliverables for the projects and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

The role will be to ensure that IT can provide a clear owner for IT deliverable/s, and a successful delivery to meet business requirements and IT Service standards.

This will include the following:
  • Lead, plan, track and report on IT Projects/Workstream activities in line with IT best practice, Delivery Governance and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Build and manage relationships with project and IT stakeholders
  • Agree, measure and implement IT Project milestones engaging with IT Service Owners, Release Managers and Project Managers
  • Deliver to agreed time, cost and quality measures
  • Lead and motivate IT Project/Delivery teams, in conjunction with Project Manager and IT Service Owner
  • Anticipate, monitor, manage and report on IT issues and risks

Ideal skills/experience
  • Experience of change projects
  • Experience of the financial services sector
  • Strong IT background
  • Experience of leading and planning IT deliverables for projects and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to ensure that IT can provide a clear owner for IT deliverable/s, and a successful delivery to meet business requirements and IT Service standards
  • Experience of leading, planning, tracking and reporting on IT Projects/Work-stream activities in line with IT best practice, Delivery Governance and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Measuring and implementing IT Project milestones engaging with IT Service Owners, Release Managers and Project Managers
  • Deliver to agreed time, cost and quality measures
  • Lead and motivate IT Project/Delivery teams, in conjunction with Project Manager and IT Service Owner
  • Monitor, manage and report on IT issues and risks
  • Ability to take ownership, take responsibility and be a good communicator and work to best practice.
  • Managing and reporting the budget to ensure the costs are managed and not exceeded
