ECS - a GlobalLogic company is now one of the UK's largest independent IT consultancies specialising in Digital Transformation & Big Data within Enterprise level clients. We're looking for a Big Data Solutions Designer to lead on Pre-Sales activity with proven capabilities in driving client relationships with our expanding client base.

As a business we have developed extremely exciting services around Customer Experience, Data & Analytics, Cost Optimisation, Cloud Adoption and DevOps which we are delivering to existing and new customers.

As an ECS Solutions Architect you'll be a strategic advisor to clients to understand their business goals and desires to shape best in class solutions that deliver more value, more inspired and more creative, meaningful innovation. You'll get a kick out of understanding client business architecture and aligning vision with practicality to enable the ECS engine room to deliver outstanding outcomes across sales, pipeline generation and solution development.

You'll be able to talk the talk with c-level stakeholders and understand their needs and help to develop solutions along with our technical consultants and sales teams. You'll be familiar with key Public Cloud Platforms, Infrastructure technology and migrating enterprise capability into newer and better platforms - understanding what solutions best suit a wide variety of organisations and industries.

About the role:

  • Work closes with sales and account teams to build rapport with clients and a clear understanding of their business strategy and requirements
  • Lead and engage activity to shape the deal and present a winning solution to the client
  • Engage in strategic deals to qualify, assess and build strong relationships
  • Provide coaching, guidance and leadership to colleagues and internal teams
  • Establish ECS as a trusted advisor across all areas of digital transformations and solutions
  • Lead the development of winning proposals that will helping enterprise businesses digitally transform and adapt through agile ways of working and cloud technologies to remain relevant and drive more meaningful innovation
  • Identify and create new ECS services/offerings to ensure we remain relevant within the industry
  • Provide thought leadership and innovative solutions to address opportunities and challenges across our customer base
  • Demonstrate strategic behaviours by bringing architecture, systems, operations, policies, and people/culture together to form solutions aligned to our client's business goals
  • Be relevant with the customer and maintain pace with the industry in which the client operates i.e. think about the challenge/opportunities facing that particular market
  • Manage senior stakeholders and align business & IT strategies to provide business value

About you (ideally):

  • Deep understanding of customer digital transformation challenges and opportunities, be their trusted advisors and support the development of services and engagements to move them along that journey
  • Driving technical transformations / transition of business process and technology
  • Application awareness and service portfolio transition
  • Building business cases (TCO, ROI etc.)
  • Strong commercial acumen in construction of consultancy budgets
  • Systems and enterprise architecture change (TOGAF, ITSA appreciation)
  • Changing business and IT operating models to support new ways of working
  • Able to strike a rapport quickly at all levels (including CxO)
  • Articulate complex technical change in a simple business terms
