Senior VDI Engineer/6 Month CTH

Prestigious Enterprise Company is currently seeking a Sr. VDI Engineer. Candidate will engineer and support Virtual Desktops and Application Virtualization related projects, as well as provide level 3 support of the VMWare View Horizon View Infrastructure and related components.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs Day-to-Day activities to administer VDI in support of end-users.
• Creates and deploys application packages to VDI users.
• Preform all system updates and monthly patches.
• Troubleshoots complex issues and provides incident resolution for all related incidents requiring escalated support or subject matter enterprise.
• Administer Azure Virtual Desktops and Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD)
• Perform Monthly patching on all VDIs.
• Thin Client Imaging, deployment and management using Dell Wyse suite
• Troubleshooting application deployment and upgrade issues
• Windows 10 WVD deployment
• Troubleshoot and resolve voice and call center application issues related to VDIs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience administrating a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)
• Must have experience providing end-user support related to VDI
• Experience with SQL Server HA Clusters
• Experience in administering Windows & file shares and NTFS security
• VMware ESXi Virtualization
• VMware Horizon View VDI
• Experience with VMware DEM.
• Operating Systems (Windows 10, Windows 2012 R2, Windows 2019)
• SCCM for patching and app deployments.
• VMware App volumes and Microsoft App-V application virtualization experience
• Azure Virtual Desktops and Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD)
• Active Directory and Group Policy Management
• General Scripting Knowledge (VBScript, PowerShell)
• General Administration of Unix/Linux
• Thin Client management
