Postdoctoral positions are available for highly motivated and independent researchers in the Malladi lab at UT Southwestern Medical Center, to study the biology of minimal residual disease and latent metastasis. Our laboratory has several exciting projects directed towards understanding how disseminated cancer cells survive and give rise to overt metastasis using model systems representing cancers with metastatic latency. The overarching goal is to develop improved diagnostic and therapeutic modalities for treating residual disease and metastasis. We employ molecular, biochemical, immunologic, genomic, imaging and computational based techniques to understand the biology of latent metastasis in cancers using mouse models, xenografts and patient samples.
