We are now looking for a Business Analyst to join our Financial Crime Portfolio team to accelerate our capabilities in delivering our business ambitions. The BA role will lead the agile and lean practices in our framework which enable the organisation to continue to build, deliver a best in class, client due diligence experience.

Job Purpose:

This is a role in an evolving organisation, managing / overseeing the realisation of benefits and business outcomes.
You will work alongside other workstream delivery members to ensure achievement of business outcomes within agreed timescales, respecting financial as well as technology-related milestones
You will set up and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including technology leadership teams, Line of Business Change Sponsors and Product Owners
You will be recognised as a trusted adviser in the area of expertise by both business and technology domainsKey Responsibilities:

Leadership and People Management

Adopts appropriate delivery management methods and tools whether predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches, recognising dependencies between teams and ensuring right structures in place to manage/resolve
Leads the collaborative, dynamic planning process, prioritise the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team.Planning

Able to identify and compare the best processes or delivery methods to use, including measuring and evaluating outcomes, helping teams to decide the best approach.
Able to help teams manage and visualise outcomes, prioritise work and work to agreed minimum viable product (MVP) scope - with marketable product in mind
Responsible for investigative work into problems and opportunities in existing and new services, driving the analysis and collection of information and creation of recommendations for service improvements
Analyses large amounts of complex information and uses it to produce solutions.
Engages in elements of risk management and manage various dependencies across teams
Identifies specific measures and mechanisms by which benefits can be measured
Monitors benefits against what was predicted in the business case and ensures that all participants are informed and involved throughout any change programme and fully prepared to exploit the new operational business environment once it is in place
Supports operational managers to ensure that all plans, work packages and deliverables are aligned to the expected benefits and leads activities required in the realisation of the benefits of each part of the change programmeOperational Responsibilities

Has the ability to apply a financial crime understanding to their work. Is able to identify and implement solutions for assisted AML solutions
Innovate in their work as well as innovating in their own business area
Facilitates setting of business priorities for change initiatives of high complexity. Leads eliciting of requirements and takes responsibility for investigation and implementation of changes to programme scope
Able to collaborate with user researchers and can sell and represent users internally. Understands the difference between user needs and desires of the user. Able to champion user research to focus on all users
Can prioritise and define approaches to understand user stories, guiding others in doing so
Can offer recommendations on the best tools and methods to be used in analysing business issues, root cause, and impact assessment across services
Contributes to the creation and maintenance of the target operating model and identifies the impact on operational serviceFinancial Responsibilities

Ensure team backlog scope aligns with investment goals of organisation needs balanced with targeted business outcomes
Support delivery teams by engaging with Finance colleagues to drive benefit realisation though initiative deliverySkills and Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years' work experience.
In depth knowledge and experience in a Business Analyst role >2yrs
Experience of working in an organisation going through an agile transformation, including bi-modal operation of agile / non-Agile environments
Proven background of working in Agile delivery across complex platform, application with proven experience of business analysis tools
Strong communication and presentation skills, supported by evidence of collaborative approaches and experience of complex stakeholder management
