Business Analyst (Financial services/Banking)

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 Negotiable

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our well-recognised Banking and Financial Services client. The Bank operates in accordance with Shariah principles and offer savings products and specialise in providing competitive buy-to-let and home purchase finance for UK residents/entities. In addition to this they source and advise on UK real estate investments with a focus on the build to rent/private rented sector.

Role purpose

The Business Analyst will work closely with the CITO and Head of Ops Delivery developing and executing the Bank's Transformation strategy.

Identify, document, and facilitate the improvement of processes and activity across the Bank, including both systems and manual processes.

Work with existing suppliers and onboard new suppliers where appropriate. Work with the business to implement the change, ensure new processes are understood, embedded, and tracked.

Role duties:

Working closely with the CITO, Head of Ops Delivery and relevant third parties to ensure that transformation is suitably identified, designed, and implemented within the Bank.
The proactive identification of opportunities to improve the performance in the key strategic priorities of the Bank.
Identify opportunities to improve business process and implement changes to enhance the customer experience and operational effectiveness.
Effectively manage the development of business cases for major projects, taking into account the needs of stakeholders, technical strategy, costs, benefits, and delivery requirements. Feed projects and gathered requirements into the Change Management function for build and test, ensuring the requirements are met upon receipt of the Change post-testing.
Ensuring that Change is effectively released into the business, embedded and tracked. Any defects to be highlighted, understood, and resolved where possible.
Oversight and management of key system suppliers (BEP, Unisys and GB Group) to ensure they continue to provide high quality products and services in line with contractual commitments.
Ensure that the governance framework, policies and procedures of all outsourced providers are sufficiently robust.
In the absence of the Service Delivery manager, provide support to end-users experiencing live issues.
Any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this post, for which the post holder has the necessary experience and/or training.Company-wide duties:

Build and maintain lasting working relationships with fellow employees and any relevant external contacts.
Demonstrate the Bank's behaviours and values at all times.
Support the development of a strong team with high standards of risk awareness and ethical behaviour.
Ensure that the Bank is managed safely by understanding and following all Bank policies, procedures, and regulations, escalating any issues to line management on a timely basis.
This includes notification of all risk events.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Good understanding of a Banking application and customer on-boarding journey.
Proven track record of identifying and subsequently making improvements to existing business processes.
Ability to document requirements in the form of User Stories.
Ability to analyse information and make informed judgements.
Practical experience of release management and defect resolution.
Strong stakeholder management including outsourced suppliers.
Desirable skills, knowledge, and experience
Understanding of Shariah Banking
Experience of Agile working
