Position: Bookkeeper

* Location: Hatfield, Herts

* Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 per annum (depending on experience)

* Contract: Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

* Flexible working hours, option to work from home 2 days a week

Bookkeeper:

Are you an experienced Bookkeeper?

Do you have experience working in an accountancy practice?

Have you managed a portfolio of clients previously across a variety of businesses and industry sectors?

Our Client:

A fast growing accountancy firm with ambitious growth plans are looking for an experienced and self-sufficient Bookkeeper to join their friendly team providing outsourced finance functions. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a small company environment and looking after their own client base.

Job Duties:

* Using cloud accounting systems - mostly Xero with some FreeAgent to maintain accurate records for a portfolio of clients

* Performing bank reconciliations, processing receipts and payments

* Supporting our financial controllers with monthly and quarterly reporting including account closing procedures

* Liaising with clients and developing strong working relationships

* Providing regular status updates to the team

* Managing the clients bookkeeping health score

* Looking for opportunities to streamline and improve the clients finance function through the use of connected software.

Requirements:

* Have strong bookkeeping experience servicing your own clients.

* Be an excellent communicator, with great written and oral communication skills.

* Show the ability to self-manage workloads and co-ordinate with other team members.

* Xero experience

* Strong tech skills are a must with experience working with other finance apps preferable.

* Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

* The ability to proactively question everything to improve quality and processes
