Delivery Manager (Communities Prepared) West of England
Location: Bristol (home-working from anywhere in the UK considered)
Contract: Fixed Term Contract to May 2024
Salary: £28,000-£31,000 FTE per annum (£16,800-£18,600 pro rata)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Role summary

The Delivery Manager will work closely with the Communities Prepared programme team, project partners, and a range of regional and local stakeholders including Local Resilience Forums and communities themselves, to establish community resilience hubs. These hubs will draw on existing resources and learning in order to support a more joined up and effective approach to community resilience across the country, offering training and wider support to communities, celebrating their achievements, and also providing a physical base for volunteer equipment and coordination efforts.

Following an initial insight gathering phase, the initiative will focus on a small number of pilot areas, based on need and appetite, working with the Local Resilience Forums in these areas to establish the focus and shape of the hubs, get them off the ground, continue to support their running, and oversee the monitoring and review of their success.

The successful candidate will be managed by the Communities Prepared Programme Manager and will also provide support to the wider Communities Prepared programme, to ensure that the different elements of the work are aligned and complementary in their approaches and outcomes.
