This is a superb, full time role for a Lead Software Engineer (full stack) to join a thriving software implementations team in Cheshire.

The role will be based in Wilmslow with home working; the role can be mainly remote if required.

This role will act as Lead Software Engineer for the implementations team whose projects are mainly Greenfield.

You will have responsibility for the line management of a small team of developers (3) - this role could suit someone who is looking at the next step in their career and who wants to be a Team Lead or Manager.

The role will involve communication with customers and 3rd party suppliers. You will work with the latest technology, Kubernetes, Docker, automated deployments etc. Our client encourages people to have a voice and try out new technology.

We are looking for strong technology focussed Lead who is technically proficient with good experience to structured development environments.

This role is to lead an Integrations team developing their Open API, whilst also bringing on board a second integrations team from an offshore supplier. This role is responsible for leading and managing through effective and efficient design and delivery of IT software solutions.

You will be accountable for leading the successful delivery of projects, requiring you to plan, coordinate and lead activities across the development and system test activities within a lightweight software development life cycle.

Ideal experience:
  • Must haved a terchnical/software development background
  • Technically proficient with good experience to structured development environments
  • The team will need experienced assistance, so you will need to be able to talk about and read code (little time to actual code)
  • Experience of application life cycle management tools (eg, JIRA), including version-control systems (eg, Git), branching, merging, continuous integration, and delivery, etc.
  • Experience of working on multi-tier E-commerce applications and retail systems, especially in large-scale environments
  • Experience of developing Cloud-ready applications systems (pure or hybrid)
