Our client is an Atlanta based boutique law firm and is seeking an Associate Estate Attorney. The perfect candidate for this role is highly motivated and skilled in managing multiple cases at a time. As the ideal candidate, you should maintain a positive demeanor, detail-oriented, and thrive within a team
environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Firm's senior attorneys in connection with the drafting of wills, trusts, and other estate planning instruments
  • Preparation or review of federal transfer tax returns, including estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes
  • Advise and counsel clients on, and manage implementation of, estate plans including charitable planning, gift planning, business succession planning, and income tax planning
  • Assist with the administration of Estates and Trusts
  • Work in a collaborative environment with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to provide high quality legal services to our clients.

Requirements, Qualifications, and Skills

  • 3-7years of estate planning and estate administration experience in a law firm, including experience with irrevocable trust planning and administration
  • Must have Active State of Georgia Bar license
  • Meet 1,600 billable hour requirement
  • Must understand estate planning and the documents that come along with it, including charitable planning, tax planning, estate administration, and gift planning
  • Tax experience is preferred
  • Strong written and excellent client and interpersonal, organizational, research, project management and analytical skills
  • Must possess financial acumen and be able to analyze standard financial statements
  • Must have a proven ability to work within a very fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines and demands
  • Proficient in MS Office Programs (Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Expert Sierra, preferred experience
