Analysis & Insights Manager required for a leading renewable research company's Glasgow office with flexible working. Joining the research & innovation team and reporting to the head of insights, the focus of the role is to identify and drive the delivery of economic modelling and similar analysis requirements to meet business needs for innovative industry thought leadership and robust analysis of both internally and externally funded projects. You would play a key part in enabling the analysis and insights (A&I) team to identify and carry out externally funded opportunities for economic analysis and increase the impact in influencing policymakers and industry stakeholders via internally driven analysis. This will entail translating business and industry needs into analysis requirements so the A&I team can support the company's understanding of the offshore renewable industry's trends and requirements. Knowledge of the offshore renewables sector would be highly beneficial.

Package: 37k-46.5k negotiable, depending on experience. Double match pension (5% personal contribution will be matched at 10%), bonus, healthcare

Responsibilities:

* Provide framework to continuously improve the delivery of projects
* Effectively translate business needs in to workable application for the A&I team
* Approve externally funded project scopes and deliverables
* Identify and scope A&I team modelling requirements based upon wider team requirements and targets
* Supervise the A&I team analysts
* Review externally funded objectives and deliverables
* Identify opportunity to present A&I analysis to both internal and external stakeholders
* Approve project scope, objectives, and mode of delivery
* Implement A&I team modelling requirements

Skills and experience

* Degree or equivalent in technical, commercial, mathematical or similar discipline
* Demonstrable experience carrying out relevant role in technical operating, management or strategic consultancy environment
* Excellent financial & economical modelling skills (MS Excel), ideally with experience using FAST standard
* Able to select appropriate financial modelling structures for a variety of issues whilst balancing specific and standardised models
* Understanding of the renewables industry
* Commercial awareness
