Package: $250,000 to £300,000 dependent on experience

The Company

I am currently partnered with Bain & Company, one of the top three consulting firms in the world inn their hunt for a Director of Product Management within their Next Generation Software Solutions (NGSS) division. They are looking for an inspirational leader with a start-up mentality who can own the vision and strategy for the software portfolio. This extremely exciting position will be at the forefront of Bain's innovation capabilities as they develop and launch a suite of products that will revolutionize the way the world consumes data.


Strategy & Commercial

  • Be both a leader and collaborative partner across the business
  • Take ownership of vision and strategy for the software portfolio, and the platform
  • Identify and maximize commercial opportunities
  • Take ownership of capability sourcing decisions and delivery model definition
  • Build and maintain the integrated product roadmap
  • Conduct user research to understand where synergies between products can be exploited to drive continuous platform development
  • Demonstrate user needs efficiently and effectively via personas, journeys, and wireframes
  • Ensure OKRs are aligned across all products within the Practice
  • Act as lead for product platform development
  • Identify impact of any technical dependencies and/or risks and address them accordingly
  • Track current tech trends to ensure up to date market knowledge
  • Work with the development team to define an approach for 3rd party partner integration and manage key 3rd party relationships
  • Drive partner-driven sales and marketing activities
  • Lead product launches and disseminate related communications
  • Help define how to sell the software and conduct sales training
  • Join critical client meetings as a Lead Sales Engineer and conduct sales demonstrations
  • Define and monitor product success metrics
  • Conduct product testing with in-house case teams and clients
  • Lead product user groups and councils

Skills & Experience

  • Strong years software product management experience
  • Experience managing people and scaling teams
  • Experience building, commercializing, and scaling B2B enterprise software products/platforms in commercial excellence or similar
  • Substantial experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Strategic thinker who strives for continuous improvement
  • Confident, consistent communicator who exudes natural authority
  • Experience working with start-ups and in other entrepreneurial environments
  • Superb social skills and a competent, confident communicator and collaborator
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skill set
  • Able to lead, inspire, and motivate the team around you
  • Able to efficiently and effectively take in and interpret technical information
  • Fluent in modern design and development principles
