This is an exciting opportunity to join the hugely successful Communities Prepared programme, to work with local partners to lead on supporting community resilience to emergencies across Hampshire.

Location: Eastleigh (home working initially due to COVID-19 restrictions)
Contract: Fixed Term, Contract to 30th September 2023
Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 FTE (£9,200 - £10,000 pro rata)
Hours: 15 hours per week

Summary of role:
Communities Prepared has recently secured funding from SSEN to appoint a part-time Senior Project Officer to lead on supporting and training community emergency volunteers in Hampshire, in order to address and mitigate the impacts of emergencies in their communities.

The Senior Project Officer will work closely with the programme team, communities and partners in Hampshire to develop and deliver tailored training and support packages that aim to assist communities to prepare for, respond to and recover from events such as flooding, snow and utility failure. This role will be hosted by Eastleigh Borough Council, managed and supported by the Communities Prepared team.
