Head of Construction, Solar EPC, Exeter, South-West England competitive salary to 100,000 per annum + substantial performance bonus

The Opportunity

This is a crucial new role for an ultra-high growth solar PV EPC/Developer who are busy building out a 500MW UK pipeline of large scale solar and battery storage projects.

We're looking for an exceptional operator to help the company deliver tremendous growth, and navigate the inevitable technical, commercial and human resource challenges.

You'll work very closely with the group COO to execute the project pipeline by directly managing the Project Management, Construction Management, Procurement and HSE functions.

To do this effectively you'll need to spend probably 3 days per week in the Exeter office.

About you

We're looking for a highly experienced construction management professional with experience of managing multi-million civils and mechanical & electrical construction projects with a priority on safety, quality and profitability.

It's very likely you've worked with a Tier 1 construction firm or sizeable EPC managing multiple concurrent construction projects.

You're a high energy, very ambitious construction professional looking for a big challenge.

You're a very effective leader, able to coach, nurture, develop and performance manage your teams, plus create strong relationships with senior peers (Business Development, Legal Design/Engineering, HR etc).

You like to implement and manage systems and procedures but also have a flexible approach - the company is undergoing transformation, so you need to be adaptable and pragmatic.

Essential skills & experience

* Extensive construction management experience in UK with T1 or similar.
* Highly commercial, contractually literate, financially savvy
* Civils, M&E / Technical understanding • Strong leadership experience, inspiring style
* Comfortable in fast paced, high growth environment
* Excellent communication skills
* Able to attend Exeter office regularly and travel UK as required

Remuneration

This is a key role reflected in a competitive basic salary up to 100,000 per annum plus significant annual bonus and the opportunity to share in a longer-term wealth creation plan.
