Location: Based in Wakefield with frequent visits to Leeds Head Office
Salary: £34,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Overview:
We are currently looking for a Finance Manager in the Wakefield area.
As a Finance Manager you will be responsible for all areas of the financial function ensuring accurate and timely reporting to both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be fully qualified with a minimum qualification of AAT level 4 and a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing group accounts and producing financial reports

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Finance Manager at Company level with direct report into Managing Director
· Report into Group Finance for weekly cash forecasts, monthly MI packs and annual budgets
· Responsible for small finance team comprising, Accounts Assistant (about to commence AAT studies), Credit Manager, Purchase Ledger/Payroll Administrator.
· Delivery of all internal and external financial reporting, KPI’s and Flash results
· Day to day involvement in the financial management of the business including working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts.
· Management of the finance team ensuring a high level of performance is attained in meeting departmental objectives.
· Responsible for a whole range of statutory issues ranging from VAT returns, HMRC liaison, PAYE, P11D’s, P32’s, Pension schemes etc.
· Responsible for authorising all payments and ensuring adequate controls are kept over credit cards and petty cash facilities
· Working with external auditors and tax advisors to produce the statutory accounts and tax computations
· Working closely with HR and Payroll to ensure weekly payroll is accurately completed (c.100 employees)
· Manage relationships with Group Finance acting as the key point of contact for all reporting matters.
· Responsible for managing the month end process
· Nominal postings, balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis
· Explaining and communicating results to the board on a monthly basis with key variances highlighted and potential solutions reviewed

Skills and Qualifications:

· Knowledge in Sage50
· Microsoft Office – Intermediate knowledge of Excel
· Relevant professional qualifications AAT level 4 or above.
· Excellent Excel skills
· Good communicator at all levels
· An enthusiasm to get to know the business and become part of the team
· Minimum 5 years’ experience working within finance management
