As a Business Analyst you will be a key part of an expert digital community delivering a generational change to the way DWP delivers products and services to people across the UK.

You will work across the product delivery lifecycle to bring together business needs with technical capabilities, with the goal of defining solutions that deliver value.

You're a skilled BA. and we'll give you more opportunities to grow your capability and your career working with Senior and Lead BAs in our community, through formal learning, meet-ups and more. As part of a wider community of practice -one of the biggest communities of BAs in the UK - you'll also have chance to manage and coach Associate BAs.

You'll have the core BA skills needed to enable our multi-disciplinary digital teams to leverage cutting edge technology/thinking and user- centric design to optimise products and services used by 22 million people and 110,000 DWP colleagues and agents.

We work across a mixed economy of new, legacy and hybrid systems, so we'll need you to be adaptable and able to develop and deliver a hybrid approach.

What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?

You can confidently elicit and define epics, user stories & acceptance criteria following best practice principles.
You can identify, elicit and define non-functional requirements using NFR catalogues or similar. Collaboratively supports the prioritisation of the backlog.
You have experience facilitating workshops, interviews and document analysis
You have worked closely with User Researchers in order elicit needs and develop a shared understanding of current processes.
You know how to perform investigative work to identify gaps, potential waste and suggest improvements.
You can apply and monitor appropriate use of modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards.
You can build strong relationships with stakeholders, taking into account individual views and ideas and tailoring the approach.
You work with stakeholders to identify objectives, opportunities and potential benefits available.
You have a learning mindset and will take ownership of improving and applying your own knowledge of Business Analysis and Agile principles, methods and tools as well as playing an active role growing capability in our BA community

Your home location will be in your choice of either Manchester, Blackpool, Leeds or Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
