We have an exciting new opportunity looking for an IT Project Manager for an initial 3 month contract working for a large established Trust in the East of England.

Job Purpose:

The post holder will be working across organisational and professional boundaries to lead and support the implementation and delivery of large, complex and wide-ranging projects within the Trust’s delivery programme;
Work as part of the project team, the post holder will provide leadership and project expertise to Clinical and Corporate Directorates alike to facilitate the development, delivery and robust monitoring of all aspects of the programme/ project plans within the portfolio, maintaining programme/ project documentation according to agreed processes;
The post holder will be working within a small project team that includes other project managers, project support, consultancy and clinical staff, while working with multiple internal and external stakeholders;
Support staff within the project team are multi-skilled and can provide dedicated change management and testing capabilities as necessary. The post holder will support the Trust to embed new processes and best practice through the implementation of replacement and upgraded clinical and administrative systems;
The key focus for this post will be the day to day management and delivery of a portfolio of projects through transformational change, ensuring delivery is within specific timeframes and budget to provide successful outcomes and benefits realisation.

Experience and Skills:

Experience implementing a wide variety of projects within the acute NHS setting;
Experience of process redesign and project management of complex/high value projects;
Experience of writing & using the following documents: Gantt Chart (plan), PID, Business cases, Process maps, Specifications, Risks and issues logs, and Work Packages;
Experience in completing staff appraisals and assessing training needs;
Moderate understanding of I.T. Systems, hardware, infrastructure and terminology;
Knowledge and understanding of the healthcare sector and of current and developing technologies within healthcare environments;
Good understanding of Information security, data protection and governance
Significant knowledge and understanding of project management and change processes.
Excellent I.T. skills with accurate keyboard skills;
Excellent communication skills; able to use various communication techniques to convey complex and contentious topics;
Ability to understand and summarise highly complex information and present this to mixed, broad ranged audiences, including formal presentations to groups of staff;
Ability to analyse information and data to inform service redesign and decision making.
