SALARY: £50,000 - £60,000 Dependant on experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Project Manager to join a well-established data and people management business who are about to go through a large systems management change and integration project which will enable them to deliver a better customer experience. The company is a family business and has multiple sectors with a national presence servicing clients all around the UK for over 30 years.

This opportunity is part of their ambitious growth plans to ensure they are competitive in the market, offer a more efficient process for clients and are keeping up to date with the latest technology. The successful Project Manager will have autonomy and complete stakeholder management both externally and internally for the project.

As the IT Project Manager, you will report to the Leadership Team and be responsible for;

* Define, agree, and manage scope, costs and timescales for a single, large IT Project.

* Use critical path analysis to map out every key task necessary to complete a Project of this size and complexity.

* Effectively manage the original Project Scope, ensuring any proposed changes are formally documented and controlled to avoid any negative impact on to timelines, budget and quality.

* Provide strong governance of the Project, with supporting documentation and effectively contributing to Project Boards and Project meetings at a senior level both internally and externally

* Contribute to contractual conversations and activities where necessary

* Plan and control the Project, using the appropriate planning tools and templates to show activities, phases, milestones, and dependencies etc.

* Resource Planning – ensuring that all known work is forecasted and anticipated work is estimated appropriately and accurately.

* Ensure the day-to-day delivery of the external development team is on target.

* Budgetary management and reporting to in-house stakeholders and external development team.

* Deliver a formal Project handover at key Project milestones to the BAU Operational team(s) to ensure that a robust process is in place and any system implementation meets end user requirements and has Project documentation in place to support an effective handover.

* Communicate across the business to ensure interdependencies are identified and managed, ensuring each team has completed their assigned tasks required for successful Project delivery.

* Provide the required motivation to drive the Project Team to achieve their objectives.

* Work closely with the Operations Manager and Customer Relationship Manager to ensure a co-ordinated delivery approach and successful migration of clients across to the new system.

* Effective engagement with internal and/or external Exec/Senior level Stakeholders.

* Working in accordance with the companies policies, client, and regulatory requirements.

* Contribute to the continuous improvement of Project management policies and procedures.

* Adherence to regulatory and data protection requirements, including full consideration of regulatory requirements and implications throughout delivery.

To be the successful IT Project Manager, you must have;

* Proven experience of delivering IT software projects on time, on budget, on quality using web, databases technologies and integrations with 3rd party solution providers.

* Comfortable working in a software environment. Competent user of Microsoft Office products as well as the ability to understand our own product offerings.

* Excellent Communication Skills – both verbal and written, including presentations and Project reporting. Comfortable delivering updates to the leadership team.

* Excellent negotiating/networking and influencing skills.

* Results driven but flexible and pragmatic, ability to manage competing priorities and customer requests in a dynamic environment.

* Quickly able to build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. A team player.

* Agile and PRINCE2 qualified

* Experience of working with Agile and PRINCE2 methodologies

* Comfortable working in the detail and challenging both technical and business stakeholders.

* Experience of software delivery within a service-delivery sector, involving systems which have client facing interfaces and in-house processes.

The successful candidate will have experience of successful software development and delivery as well as a thorough grounding in Project Management techniques from idea inception, planning, budget control, documentation and managing risk through to product launch. Given how critical this Project is to the wider business in meeting its mid-term strategy, this role offers a package on a Fixed Term Contract basis commensurate with your experience and a completion bonus upon successful delivery of the Project.

This role may also be extended to a full-time position for the right individual.
