Job title: Junior Project Manager
Location: Home based
Hourly rate: Up to £19.96 per hour PAYE
Duration: Contract to run until the end of March 2022, may extend further

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Project Manager to join a prestigious and well-respected organisation, you will be part of a team to scope, plan and deliver a range of complex innovation and transformation projects within the ICS Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage project teams and the delivery of projects within the DDaT portfolio
Devise project plans, allocating tasks as appropriate, identifying risks, issues and dependencies, considering best practice and current options and ultimately making decisions in the best interest of the project.
Develop Project Briefs and Project Initiation Documents for approval
Monitor progress of all projects to ensure they are on track and meeting milestones.
Have overall responsibility for the projects' quality management.
Ensure effective use of change control processes.
Develop a comprehensive and cohesive plan for the transition period which is consistent with the overall project timetable.
Maintain all associated documentation and reports, attending regular team meetings to monitor progress and resources.
Pro-actively manage all stakeholders, respond to and resolve conflict between different stakeholders when this arises through facilitation or other appropriate mechanisms.
Be responsible for a high standard of work supporting the delivery of projects on time, to quality standards and in a cost effective manner.
Ensure the flexibility of the project if required to meet conflicting/changing requirements.
Demonstrate effective stakeholder management across different departments and at all levels.
Support other project and programme managers as and when required.
Take into account the impact of any change the projects will have on the business and oversee handover of any products to ensure full ownership and buy-in.
Ensure that the projects maintain business focus, have clear authority and that the context, including risks, is actively managed in alignment with the strategic priorities of the programme.
The post holder will be responsible for facilitating decision making and will be empowered to make project decisions within the remit of project tolerances.
